I've played sports my entire life, and until photography came into my life I always considered myself more of a sport player than a sport watcher.
I always found it more fun to be the one in the action than the one watching it, though photography helped shine a new light, and therefor a new appreciation, on the intensity and visceral emotion experienced by athletes.
I began shooting sports for Humber College's Varsity Athletics program in my second year of university. I was given mostly volleyball and basketball games, but was quickly promoted to begin covering multiple areas of the athletic department. My work has been featured provincially (OCAA) and nationally (CCAA).
My goals for the next year are to develop a collection of intense and engaging photographs of the schools baseball team which I intend to share with the Toronto Blue Jays media team as I aspire to be a photographer for their ball club.
